Accessibility Statement

Accessibility Statement

At Two Brothers Noordwijk Beach, we're committed to making our websites accessible to as many people as possible. This means we strive to make our websites user-friendly for everyone, regardless of any disabilities or the technology used.

In this statement, you can read what measures we are taking, where we are still falling short, and how you can contact us if you need help using our website.

Compliance with the European Accessibility Act

We take our responsibility with regard to the European Accessibility Act (EAA), which requires that many digital services and products within the EU must be accessible to all users by 28 June 2025.

The EAA aims to improve accessibility to digital services for users with disabilities throughout the European Union. In line with this, we are committed to ensuring our websites meet the required accessibility standards.

We actively work towards these obligations by:

  • To strive for compliance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the recognized standard on which the EAA is based
  • Prioritize accessibility improvements that improve usability for everyone
  • To ensure our content is inclusive, user-friendly and accessible across devices and with assistive technologies

While we already largely comply with the guidelines, we remain committed to fully meeting all EAA requirements. Accessibility remains a key component of our ongoing development and content creation.

Where we still fall short

We do not currently fully comply with the following WCAG criteria:

  • Text Alternatives & Labels: Some images, icons, and form fields may not yet have suitable text alternatives or clear labels, impacting screen reader users.
  • Visual & Structural Clarity: Information that is presented visually (such as form groupings, tables, or color indications) is not always programmatically clear or accessible.
  • Keyboard navigation: Not all content is fully keyboard-controllable, and some elements may hold focus or not show a clear focus indicator.
  • Reading & Focus Order: The reading and focus order is not always logical, which can make navigating the website more difficult.
  • Contrast & Scalability: Some text and visual elements may not yet meet minimum contrast requirements or may not scale properly when enlarged or zoomed in.
  • Forms: Errors in forms may not be clearly marked or explained, and users may needlessly re-enter information.
  • Consistent identification: Similar elements are not always labeled consistently, and some interactive components are not always correctly recognized by assistive technologies.

What we do about it

We collaborate with accessibility specialists and developers to improve the usability and accessibility of our websites. Accessibility is an ongoing process, and we actively implement improvements based on audits, user feedback, and evolving guidelines.
